2) 1.5Volt batteries. They are NOT a replacement for the 1.5Volt 401 or 401X bulbs I have listed. Again, the 406 bulbs are a 3Volt bulb meant for (2) 1.5Volt batteries. They will not shine as bright as these bulbs, or look as brilliant as these, when using only (1) 1.5Volt battery. You are purchasing 2 brand new GE401X bulbs from a freshly opened case. The bulbs are brand new 'old stock'. The bulbs run on (1) AAA, AA, C or D 1.5Volt battery and are meant to blink once they are turned on and warm up. These types of bulbs have been used since the 50's in toy train sets and many other electronic toys/games. The GE401X bulbs are a ‘heavy duty’ version of the GE401 ‘toy’ bulbs put into electronic toys by Mattel, Marx, Lionel, Buddy L, etc. since the 1950’s. They are used in the same capacity but are designed for rough service. For decades they have been used in yellow highway signal flashers. If you remember those highway signals, those things would flash forever! I am confident you will be very satisfied with the results from these bulbs in your toys.These vintage incandescent bulbs have a miniature E10 (10mm) screw base and operate on 1.5V at 0.33A (0.5W). The bulb is a G4.5 type with a C2F filament.
